About Us
"We grow with you in mind"
Empathy Cannabis started with a few friends in Belgrade, Montana who spent years learning the craft, rebuilding a facility, and contract growing before purchasing our own license in the fall of 2024. To us, empathy means growing clean, pesticide-free flower we'd feel good putting in your hands. Properly cured, terpene-forward, and grown with genuine intention. It also means building a shop where the people tending these plants are just as taken care of as the product. We're a small crew in the Gallatin Valley who have put everything into this facility and the relationships we've built with dispensaries across Montana. We're not in it to be the biggest, just a company that cares about its product, its people, and the customers we grow for.
Lighting
We run full-spectrum LED lighting throughout our facility, dialing in intensity and spectrum at every stage of growth. LEDs let us push canopy penetration and terpene development while keeping our energy footprint and heat load in check.
Media
We grow exclusively in 100% coco coir, giving us precise control over every nutrient the plant receives. Coco's natural drainage and root aeration properties keep our plants healthy and our consistency high from run to run.
Fertigation
We use automated dosers paired with Athena Nutrients to deliver precise, repeatable feed programs directly to each plant. No guesswork, no variability just dialed-in nutrition.
IPM
Our pest management program is built around beneficial insects rather than harsh chemicals. We introduce predatory bugs proactively to keep our environment clean, our plants healthy, and our flower free of pesticide residue.
Harvest & Cure
After harvest we dark store our flower for two weeks to slow dry before moving it into our humidors, where it cures until sale. This process preserves terpene integrity and ensures every jar that leaves our facility is properly finished.
Breeding
We've been running breeding projects for several years with a clear goal — to make the majority of our cultivars proprietary and grown exclusively in-house. Every cross is selected for flavor, effect, and consistency, building a genetic library that's uniquely Empathy.
